“50’s inspired American diner branding”
For the Mamawawas project Crate47 developed the modern-retro restaurant branding while Liqui Design followed through with a complimentary restaurant design.
This relaxing and informal beach front restaurant branding and environment have been designed as a franchise model, and once again Crate47 and Liqui’s dual involvement in this project has worked seamlessly to create a considered designer restaurant with a strong and relevant brand identity.
Alongside Liqui, Crate47 managed the branding and graphic design work for the project. This included signage, restaurant logo design and imaginative illustrations which feature strongly both in the interior and on printed material such as the menus.
Retro style hand lettering and cartoon drawings of food and drink were used throughout the design.
It was a conscious decision that the brand and interior could be used as a franchise model. Crate47 designed a logo that was both bold and instantly recognisable. It’s a harmonious partnership of a strong brand identity and a strong interior aesthetic which play off each other perfectly, creating a comprehensive and detailed restaurant that is at its’ core a friendly and informal social environment.
